From Lonely to Loved Song Collection

All my life I’ve heard the phrase, “needs a woman’s touch” to describe a single man’s need for feminine input, usually in his home.

In chapter 26, I share about flipping the phrase when I was a single woman homeowner: “My house needs a man’s touch!” Eventually, I wrote the following song to express the hope of single women everywhere for a man’s touch to fix their homes, to hold them close and, well, to dance with!

Man’s Touch

Unpainted porch and a clogged up drain
Rusty tin roof leaking in the rain
Fixing all alone ain’t my kind of fun
My house needs a helping man
To get things done

I need a man’s touch
To push away the lonely
Move along the story of life
I need a man’s touch
Talking ’bout forever
No more Mr. Ever Be Gone
I need a man’s touch

Heading by myself to an empty bed
Hugs and kisses running through my head
Sleeping all alone in the deep blue night
My body needs a loving man
To make things right

I need a man’s touch
To push away the lonely
Move along the story of life
I need a man’s touch
Talking ’bout forever
No more Mr. Ever Be Gone
I need a man’s touch

Strolling at a party underneath the moon
Couple after couple swinging to the tunes
Dancing all alone like a little girl
My steps need a leading man
To give them a twirl

I need a man’s touch
To push away the lonely
Move along the story of life
I need a man’s touch
Talking ’bout forever
No more Mr. Ever Be Gone
I need a man’s touch

ENDING

I need a man’s touch
I need a man’s touch
I need a man’s touch
I need a man’s touch
